Historic Elegance
The Banke Hotel, Autograph Collection, is housed in a 20th-century building with a facade awarded Paris's Gold Medal in 1908. The former banking hall features a dramatic reception area with deep Pompeii-red walls, high columns, a mosaic floor, and a glass cupola. The décor includes gilt sofas, Marteen Baas chairs, and chandeliers. The hotel displays a collection of jewelry, sculptures, and art from Papua New Guinea, China, India, Tibet, and African tribes.
